Opening day at Alta was actually better than expected. With nine fresh inches on top of a meager snow base hidden obstacles were a concern. But for the most part we avoided them and found some really good snow, both high up on Wildcat on Warmup and low near the Collins lift.
There wasn’t a ton of terrain open due to the low snow, with only Collins and Wildcat lifts operating, but with more storms lined up things are just going to get better!
