The Supreme Chair opened today at noon for the season. Skiers were finding deep cream all over Supreme Bowl and Catherine’s Area. We could tell by the sight of the tracks. As tempting as it looked we stuck to our plan heading out to Rocky Point just outside of the ski area boundary. There we found superb snow. Fast and smooth and soft. Rocky hardly had any tracks on it so we spun two laps before taking on the arduous task of setting the Patsey booter.
We almost ran out of sunlight as we summitted Patsey and were treated to a glorious red and orange sunset over the Oquirrhs. With just enough light to ski down we found great snow for most of the way to the Summer Road. As we reached the Collins parking lot it was dark enough to reveal a large moon above Patsey Marley. What a day!
