NateThis recent spring storm brought almost 2 feet of fresh soft snow to Alta in the past few days. The skies cleared early this morning and Alta Ski Patrol was on top of opening all of the front terrain and Backside. The snow was super surfy and fast top to bottom.
As the snow got tracked roller balls and the tracks they formed from made the snow a little grabby but still pretty soft. So we headed out for some untracked in the side country. Sunset was fast and smooth and in some places had that velvety feel to the snow. Quite a fantastic day for so late in the season!
