The past couple days at Alta have been nothing short of magnificent. Around a 16″ storm total that felt fluffy and soft. Baldy Shoulder was skiing deep and fresh into the afternoon yesterday and today. An upper gate near East Baldy Traverse opened and a moderate sidestep later access to snow that hadn’t been touched all season made it all worth it.
Bad News area is getting filled in but lots of rocks to clear still. Keyhole opened to skier’s right and we went far far right across cliff and rock, clinging to tree roots and hoping to not go for a ride. The prize was more deep and untracked. It was snowing when we left so the next few days are sure to be tasty. Go on out and get your’s!
