We took the kids up to find the infamous Yellow Bear trail. It’s a gentle sloping run in the forest that becomes sorta like a scavenger hunt for paintings of animals hidden in the trees. To find it you take the old herringbone/hiking route that accessed the old Supreme Chair base. On that trail about 100 yards from the Sugarloaf groomer you drop skier’s left to find the Yellow Bear sign and the beginning of the hunt for animal paintings.
The kids winded their way through the forest searching for the paintings and then they shredded some Sunnyside laps. Leo hit a new cliff above the main Sugarloaf groomer and Eli took big air over on Vail Ridge and Kai skied some lines totally independent for the first time. Fun was had by all!
