The 7th Annual Shreddit Showdown is sponsored by some of the biggest names in the ski world including Blizzard, Tecnica, FlyLow, Helly Hansen, Smith Optics, GoPro, and Backcountry Access. The prizes are awesome and the event is one of the sweetest in Tahoe and around the country. If you don’t live in Tahoe you can still participate and submit your ski movie edit. There are three contest categories, adult, 18 and older; teen 13 to 17; and grom, 12 years old and younger. You have from right now through to film your footage and produce your three-minute edit. Ski Movie entry date opens on March 20th and Facebook voting also starts March 21, 2020. The absolute deadline to enter your Shreddit Showdown Ski movie is 11:59:59 pm, March 30, 2020.
Filmmakers have a chance to win big, just for doing what you love; skiing, filming, and editing!
All entries must have skiing as the central theme and story line, and must not exceed 3 minutes in length. We’re not fanatical about a few seconds over-run, but keep it tight. Need some ideas to get you filming? Check out entries from previous years on our blog. Your film should have some great skiing (duh!), popping music, a catchy storyline, and inspire our Judges to get out there and SKI! For more contest details visit the Granite Chief website here.
