As opposed to covering your entire base with heavy skin material, Black Diamond developed a skin that has a lightweight nylon strip down the center, greatly reducing weight while still giving you traction on the snow. Not only does this reduce weight but it also makes it easier to rip your skins off when you get to the top.
The rubber tail straps make it easy to get a tight fit and also help correct any accidental measuring mistakes when first cutting the skin to your skis. The tip loops are designed for fitting over the largest of shovels so no matter how big you prefer your boards these skins will accommodate.
These skins are not recommended for skis under 120mm under foot as they do not provide enough skin coverage for narrower skis but if you ride the big boys these skins are for you. Ditching the crowds for untracked pow pow has never been easier. Get some!
