Tuesday at Alta the storm raged. About a foot of snow had fallen overnight and it didn’t stop all day. It was windy too. By Tuesday evening the winds calmed down a bit and the lake effect kicked in dropping another five inches of fluff overnight. The road closed and interlodge was called. We had the unique opportunity to stay up canyon setting ourselves up for a country club morning.
The sky was blue, the air was cold, and the snow was stellar. Every run we took was epic. Alta Ski Patrol got almost everything open and we kept timing everything right to nail fresh lines all day. It truly was an amazing day. Thanks Alta!
