Nine inches fell on Alta over the weekend and truly hooked up the mountain! The snow was fantastic and most of Alta’s terrain opened including Eagles Nest, Backside, Catherine’s, and Baldy Shoulder. Skiing in Eagles Nest was a bit dicey but, for the most part you could avoid all the rocks if you took it slow. For a weekend pow day, Alta was surprisingly uncrowded providing fresh tracks for most of the morning and afternoon. Even though there’s no more storms forecasted for next week we should still be skiing good for the next few days. If avy conditions keep stabilizing I’m sure Rocky Point laps will be the place to be tomorrow. Enjoy the fresh snow while it lasts!
