With only a dusting forecasted for today five inches was a welcomed surprise. The Tower 10 Traverse benefited greatly from today’s snowfall making it much easier to access High Boy and Lone Pine. With no significant precip in the past three weeks today felt like a true pow day. The clip below was shot on High Boy where the snow skied great all day. Looks like possibly another inch or two tomorrow morning and if the Jitterbug boot pack opens it should be another great day to ski Alta.

I was sitting at work in PC thinking about how our 2inches was probably Alta’s five. Now I know.
It is unbelievable to see high rustler with so little snow. I hope a big storm cycle hits and fills everything in soon.
Jim you mean something like this one 🙂 http://www.skibumpoet.com/alta/ski-report-nov-25-2001/
The Thanksgiving storm of 2001. That was an epic cycle, but 10 years ago. We need some love now.
I’ll never forget that dump. It doesn’t get much better than 100 inches in 100 hours.
