NateToday at Alta was a complete surprise. The winds from the past couple of days have continued to buff out most runs and the measly inch that fell overnight was just enough to soften up most slopes. We did an incomplete around-the-world, hitting everything off Collins and Sugarloaf. Backside seemed to hold the smoothest snow but in other areas where the snow started to bump up it continued to ski fast and relatively soft. There was a chundery layer you couldn’t really avoid but it was very mild. Still talk of pattern change but we’ve been hearing that for weeks so get out and enjoy the decent conditions while they last!

Completely unrelated question, but is the High Boy party on Sunday the 14th or the 28th? I’ve been looking around but cant find any information. Thanks much.
The main party is on the 14th, although people still celebrate on the last day as well. If you can only pick one, pick the 14th!
Thanks Nate. I worked at Alta 02-04 and have been back several times since. I haven’t been back at the end of the year since then and wanted to get the whole story. I’ll be there the 14th! Thanks.
