Spring Skiing In January?

I hope everyone had a happy New Year. I wasn’t able to attend Alta’s torch light parade but from the looks of Noah Wetzel’s photograph it appeared to be another great celebration. Check out Lightpoleclothing.com for more of his work. Unfortunately, with the abnormally warm January temperatures Alta’s skiing conditions have only gone down hill in the new year. We gave Rocky Point a shot but even the untracked lines were a little grabby and hard to turn in. Inbounds we found High Boy to be skiing decently with it’s chalky smooth slopes. Get ready for another seven days of high pressure with the valley smog building back in. Pray harder for snow.
