NateAlta hasn’t seen fresh snow in over two weeks. Not that going two weeks without fresh pow has been unusual this year but atleast it’s finally back. Unfortunately the 6″ we saw fall during the day today was not enough to cover up the crusty ice layer beneath.
If you stuck to low angle the snow skied great but the minute you stepped into some steeper terrain the soft turns quickly morphed into bumpy hard pack. The forecast is calling for snow to continue into tonight and tomorrow morning. An additional 3-5″ could certainly hide the firm-pack.
