At this point in the season most Alta skiers are starting to get used to Sierra-like snow storms. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen some blower but it’s hard to complain when systems keep rolling through every other day. The 5″ that fell last night did a great job masking the hard bumps and did a fantastic job freshening up the mountain.
Lines off of West Rustler seemed to be staying the smoothest while North facing aspects bumped up early on. Backside opened up in the morning but Baldy Shoulder remained closed all day. The skiing should still be fantastic tomorrow and with blue bird skies forecasated it’ll be another great day to come ski Alta!
