After the warm temps on Sunday, a weak 1″ storm was not enough to cover up the crusty and icy snowpack currently residing at Alta. It was quite a disappointing morning when I woke to find less snow up at Alta than in my backyard. The 4″-10″ that was predicted for Alta apparently ended up in Tooele, where 8″ were reported. We found some hit or miss conditions in Supreme Bowl and Baldy Shoulder but the rest of the mountain was haggered. The weather looks rather pathetic for the next seven days with high pressure and hot temps setting in. At least were used to Spring conditions this year.
