Nearly five years ago to the day we were skiing over-the-head-blower-pow to celebrate Halloween, and it’s starting to look similar to that now! Less than a week before Nov 1st and we’re seeing some impressive snow totals around the state of Utah, especially N of I-80.
Not too much media showing up yet on the social networks from Alta & Little Cottonwood, but I am sure there will be some good stuff coming online tomorrow. In the meantime, check out the following update from the Powder Mountain Facebook page, earlier today:
Powder Mountain Season Update:
A big taste of winter has hit and we are stoked. We have received 42″ of fluffy pow just the way we like it.
Many Powmanians are asking when we are going to open for the season. The snow that we have received has given us a solid start to our preseason base, however, the forecasters are calling for high pressure and warmer temps over the next several days. Due to the future forecast we are currently planning to OPEN on November 21st as planned. We are hopeful that more storms will come soon and the conditions will allow POW MOW to open sooner.
Here’s to an Epic winter…so far soooo good!
