Main Chute opened this morning sometime around 10:30am. I unfortunately missed the opening but did get a chance to ski it about an hour later. Although not super fluffy like I’m sure it was when it first opened, Main Chute skied very smooth with deep shots still left along the sidewalls. None of the other Baldy Chutes opened so Main Chute got tracked up pretty quickly. Luckily Baldy Shoulder, Backside, and Rocky Point were still skiing great. Patsy Marley was a little set up as of yesterday afternoon so we didn’t hike that today but with all the good snow everywhere else you didn’t really need too. Forecasters are calling for a decent long range forecast with the first series of storms sliding through Utah sometime Saturday night. Enjoy the holiday weekend everybody.
