After the unseasonably warm temps over the weekend a cold front packing minimal precip seemed like it wouldn’t be enough to turn things around at Alta. However the 4″ we were awarded went a long way. Maybe I’m just suffering from high pressure delusion but at this point in the season 4″ is plenty to get excited about.
Most gates other than Catherine’s remained closed for the day. Rocky Point by far skied the smoothest and deepest. High Boy, Eagle’s Nest, and all other aspects off the High T skied great every other turn but horrifically hard and bumpy on the following turn. The forecast still looks decent with another wave of moisture expected to impact Alta starting in the a.m.!
