Skiers everywhere were eager to get some after Alta saw a 25″ storm total this weekend. Parking lots were full and lift lines were long. Thankfully the skiing was worth the wait. Alta Ski Patrol opened Backside early in the morning but had problems getting Baldy Shoulder open until later in the afternoon.
The fresh snow wasn’t exactly blower Utah pow but it did the trick. North facing slopes seemed to stay a little softer and less thick then conditions elsewhere but pretty much everywhere you skied was holding decent snow. The forecast is looking great with two more storms scheduled to impact LCC on Tuesday and Thursday. Winter aint over yet!
25″?? Were y’all skiing in Oregon? A bit dense eh?
Yeah, not exactly easy snow to get around on with my leg. Feeling a little sore today!
