The weather story of the day, despite there being almost two feet of fresh snos, was the bitter cold air. With temperatures topping out in the negative digits the day saw no respite. But the snow has piled up and we couldn’t resist.
The snow was deep but actually quite thick. Not hero snow by any means, but playful enough that if you found steep pitches you could carry some serious speed. Cliffs back in Rocky Point were all filled in nicely with soft landings. Terrain all over the mountain opened up yesterday and today with Devil’s Castle the last to opened early this morning. All areas are skiing very soft so get on up there while it lasts!
