A special thanks to mother nature for making this season one of the best ever. The 2010/11 ski season will go down in Alta’s history as the 2nd snowiest ever. The 724 inches of snowfall received this season is only less than the 748 recorded in 1981/82. The sad part is that the lifts are now closed for the season, even though there is a 200 inch base.
There were more powder days this year than any other that I can remember and that is obviously reflected in the record books. Check out the Alta Snowfall Tracker, and you’ll see there were over 130 days this season that Alta was snowed on. What an incredible year!
