After valley temps soared into the 70’s this past weekend a cold front mixed with little precipitation didn’t seem like it would bow well for skiing conditions. Much to our surprise the 1″ that fell overnight did wonders for Alta’s terrain.
Patrol opened most of the mountain including the Baldy chutes and Devil’s Castle. You could even ski the high Baldy shoulder as well as Little Chute and Dog Leg. Unfortunately no Perla’s yet. Not sure we’ll see that opening before the end of the season. Our forecast looks warm and rainy but hopefully we’ll see some snow mixed in as well.
