We did a quick lap yesterday after the storm had cleared. There was word of a foot of high density snow so coverage we thought would be decent now.  It was, except for the top half dozen turns or so. It’s always a worry early in the season in Eagle’s Nest that you will encounter fallen trees. There were some of those and some rocks and general debris in abundance up top. Then in was good to go.

Nate dropped in first and somehow skied top to bottom. I really didn’t plan on doing that but as I skied in I really decided to not do that. Every turn was scraping on something. But after the choke and all the way to the creek were really nice untouched turns.

A few more storms and it might be time to really open up some speed.  Yay winter.
