The Baldy Chutes and the High Shoulder opened for the first time this season. Dogleg Chute had a far skier’s right traverse that accessed lower Perla’s where it looked creamy and smooth. We opted to ski Main Chute after seeing Little Chute looked pretty chopped up (we arrived pretty late in the day). The upper part of the chute was still pretty smooth so we felt good about our decision. To get more shots we ended up riding the high walls of Main Chute and the faces above it before funneling into the chute proper. It was getting moguly but still plenty soft to shred.
