This week at Alta has been nothing short of stellar. It was supposed to clear up today but it just kept snowing. The lifts were delayed about an hour and shortly after the High Traverse opened up. We went straight to Thirds and found untracked primo snow. Not Utah blower but it was still excellent snow from top to bottom.
The winds also continued to blow snow around giving Thirds a smooth feel into the afternoon. Areas like Garbage Chute are finally starting to fill in and rocks and other hazards are becoming rare.
Unfortunately we had a mishap with our new 360 Max that caused us to lose a number of killer shots. We learned our lesson and fixed the issue.
It was the best day of the season for us so far as all areas were rippable and cliffs are getting hittable. Backside and the Shoulder remained closed so tomorrow will be yet another amazing day.
