We unfortunately missed the soft opening of the High Traverse yesterday at 3pm. It was still skiing good today though. West Rustler was smooth and getting tracked. Thirds had quite a bit of rocks but Gunsight had nice coverage. Powder Paradise actually had decent snow later in the afternoon.
But the place to be was the Shoulder. Nate and I were 3rd and 4th down Tombstone after 2 patrollers shredded it pre-opening. The snow was velvety smooth and sendable. I skied it again later and still was able to carry a lot of speed. Nate hit the early shot everyone sees as they’re sidestepping up and that was super soft and playful. All in all a great day. Lots of bombs going off in Backside so maybe after this weekend’s storm we can look forward to that!
