Alta has received a ton of snow over the past week. Unfortunately I was sick the entire time until today. But today was not just a consolation prize, it truly was another great powder day.
Most gates were open this morning, including a couple like Baldy Shoulder that were closed yesterday. The snow was soft and creamy and relatively untracked.
Eventually we made our way out to the side country for some velvety turns down Sunset. We also found some soft landings in Rocky Point.
Devil’s Castle and the Shoulder were skiing great well into the afternoon so tomorrow should still be some really good skiing.
